Philip Alt holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with dual majors in Accounting and Finance from Grand Valley State University. Following this, he pursued a Master of Science in Professional Accounting from Michigan State University and became a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) during his tenure in public accounting with Plante Moran.

Throughout his professional journey, Philip has made significant contributions to the long-term care sector. His expertise encompasses financial statement assurance engagements, financial feasibility studies, reimbursement analysis, and strategic planning. Philip has had the privilege of working with various long-term care organizations, spanning the spectrum from Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) and assisted living providers to skilled nursing facilities, PACE programs, home care, and hospice agencies.

In 2018, Philip took his wealth of experience and launched Alt Long Term Care Consulting, aiming to bring his expertise directly to providers. This collaborative endeavor seeks to drive long-term care organizations forward in the ever-evolving landscape of the industry.
Alt Long Term Care Consulting is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Along with providing consulting services to clients in the long-term care industry, Philip serves as the treasurer of Holy Spirit School's PTA committee, serves on several non-profit boards, and has initiated a scholarship program at Grand Valley State University, in partnership with his college roommate, known as the Alt-Marsiglia Scholarship.
